Our Process

Every project begins with an in-person meeting. This is our chance to get to know you, walk the space, understand your goals, and determine if we’re the right fit for one another. We’ll talk through your vision, discuss how we work, and outline what the design-build process looks like moving forward.

If we’re aligned, we’ll explain next steps and leave you with a clear understanding of how the process unfolds.

After the consultation, we’ll provide our Design & Pre-Construction Agreement. This allows our team to formally begin the design process and includes:

• A preliminary budget range
• An expected design and pre-construction timeline
• An overview of what’s included in design, estimating, permitting, and scheduling

This step ensures expectations are aligned before any design work begins.

Before putting pen to paper, we gather the details that matter most.
This phase includes:

• A detailed design questionnaire to understand your lifestyle, preferences, and aesthetic
• An onsite visit to take measurements, photos, and assess existing conditions

This discovery phase allows us to design with intention—balancing form, function, and how you truly live in the space.

This is where ideas begin to take shape.
Our team develops:

• Preliminary floor plans and layout concepts
• Early design sketches and visual references
• Initial material, finish, and style direction

We’ll review these ideas together in an onsite design meeting, narrowing in on the overall look, feel, and direction of your project.

With your feedback, we refine everything down to the details.
This phase includes:

• Cabinet and millwork drawings
• Lighting, plumbing, hardware, tile, countertops, and finish selections
• Construction drawings and schedules (demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, paint, etc.)

Once the full design is presented, you’ll have an opportunity for revisions before signing off on the final design.

After design approval, we move into full-scope pricing.
Our team:

• Prices every detail of the project
• Meets with subcontractors for firm numbers
• Prepares a comprehensive, fixed-cost proposal

We’ll walk you through the proposal line-by-line, answer questions, and review the construction contract. Once approved, contracts are signed and the project officially moves toward construction.

With contracts in place, our team gets to work behind the scenes—ordering materials, pulling permits, and finalizing schedules. Your project is formally handed off to your Project Manager, who oversees construction from start to finish.

During construction:

• Your home is carefully protected before demolition begins
• Progress is managed daily by your Project Manager
• Your builder and designer remain involved throughout

At completion, we’ll walk the project with you, address any final items, and ensure everything meets our standards—and yours. Our work is warrantied for one year, and we remain available even after the project is complete.
